Shakeology 3 Day Clense

SHAKOLOGY!!!

Let's be honest... My first sip of Shakeology was just "meuh"... BUT BAM! On the second day, and trying my AWESOME Coach's recommended recipe (add ice, 1 banana & 1 tbsp PB), I AM HOOKED, and I absolutely love the taste. Well, so far so good. I can do this...

The third day into drinking my Shakeology I felt great and was doing more reading around the web. I came across the Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse...

Me?! Do a cleanse? You are out of your tree! No way, I love food, I love to eat, hate feeling hungry and zombified, no FREAKING thank you! ...Well--- Let me think about this again... I get to drink my Shakeology which I love, all day... And I will feel satisfied, AND I get a salad, and snacks, and tea?! OK, it's dose not sound half bad. LET'S DO IT!

The morning day, I started. It really was super easy, no hunger, no issues. I FELT AMAZING!
The second day (which I read was the hardest for a lot of people) was still a breeze! AND--- I was down 3 lbs BTW! ;) eep!

The third day was just as good, still felt great, totally kicked my caffeine coffee addiction WITH NO HEADACHES or side effects, and I lost another 2.5 lbs! And all I did was sit back (well I ran on day two, and started INSANITY on day three ***yes I had lots of energy!), and enjoyed my CHOCOLATE peanut butter burst of a kid in a candy store heaven called, SHAKEOLOGY!!!
Lost a total of 5 lbs. Gave my body a kick start, and the weight loss was a huge motivator for me, going into my first INSANITY workout week.

I absolutely recommend doing the 3 day cleanse, and I will absolutely be doing it again in the future, when I need an little extra push! Woohoo! :D

HAPPY GIRL! Great experience!

Healthy Corn and Ham Chowder

This is the easiest, healthiest, and tastiest corn and ham chowder I have ever tried! Coming from a New England Girl, that says a lot. ;)

What You Need:
1 celery rib, diced
1 scallions, chopped
1/4 cup onion, diced
2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
3 cups milk
2 cups cooked smoked ham, diced
2 cups red potatoes (skins on), cooked and diced small
1 1/2 cups frozen sweet corn
1 (14 3/4 ounce) can sweet cream-style corn
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions:

1
Boil water; meanwhile peel and dice potatoes.
2
Boil for about 10-15 minutes (soft but not too mushy).
3
Meanwhile, dice up ham, onion, celery and scallion.
4
In a large saucepan, saute the onion, scallion and celery in butter until softened.
5
Stir in the flour and stir until well blended, then gradually add milk.
6
Bring to a boil while stirring until thickened, about 2 minutes.
7
Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
8
Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 15 minutes or until heated through.
